The e-Learn SETLAS Project

This Project involves the setting up of an e-learning platform for teachers and students to access teaching and learning resources that have been designed for particular subjects, strands and attainment levels. It is made possible by the Education Bureau (EDB) award of HK$ 3.28M for the collaboration between CASE and principals of the ten SAME Curriculum Project schools on e-learning projects. The e-learning platform, entitled as SETLAS, which stands for “SAME E-enhanced Teaching, Learning and Assessment System”, when completed, will be the first teaching, learning and assessment system with teaching and learning material that is built around the structure of the central curriculum but match the attainment levels of students with diverse learning difficulties. Teachers can freely access the system to import their lesson planning data, create resources and download resources relevant to their lesson. Students can access the system to engage in exercises that have been designed to match their levels of attainment. With the clouding computing facility of the E-learning platform, peer lesson planning will now be engaged not only by teachers with own schools but across schools and even across regions.
