The International Study Association on Teacher Thinking (ISATT) was founded in 1983. Its goals are to discuss and disseminate research on teachers, teaching and teacher education. ISATT sponsors a journal, Teachers and Teaching: Theory and Practice, which is published by Carfax (UK). The association also organises a biennial conference, of which the next one will be in Kiel, Germany in October 1997.
