At the Annual General Meeting held in spring this year, a new executive board was chosen, which includes:

President, Dr. LEE Wing On, University of Hong Kong
Vice-President, Dr. Grace MAK, Chinese University of Hong Kong
Secretary, Mr. IP Kin Yuen, Hong Kong Institute of Education
Treasurer, Dr. XIAO Jin, Chinese University of Hong Kong
Past President, Dr. Gerry Postiglione, University of Hong Kong

The Society aims to encourage collaboration among comparativists, and to promote comparative education activities in Hong Kong. The new executive committee decided that CESHK will participate in the organization of the China Education Conference series which is to be held in August 1997 in Hong Kong. The theme of the conference will be "China Education towards 2000". In addition, the executive committee is organizing a seminar series on various aspects of comparative education, and arranging visits to international schools.
