The Comparative Education Research Centre in the Faculty of Education at the University of Hong Kong was proud to host the 2004 annual conference of the Comparative Education Society of Hong Kong. The conference marked the 15th anniversary of the Society and the 20th anniversary of the Faculty. In celebration of the occasion, Mark Bray, Dean of the Faculty of Education and Chair Professor of Comparative Education, presented a keynote address in the form of an anniversary lecture, followed by a cocktail reception hosted by the Faculty. Lynn Davies, Professor of International Education and Director for the Centre for International Education and Research at the University of Birmingham presented an opening keynote address.
