Tess the SuperDog

Most people thought that Tess was a pampered pooch. Her long fringe fell languidly over her eyes, and her ears flopped gracefully to the side of her elegant head. Her little black nose sat cute as a button in the middle of her beautiful face. Her long, ebony hair shimmered like silk when she strolled in the sunlight. She moved like a dancer on her dainty paws. When she slept in her basket, she delicately rested her pretty face on her one white paw.

She wore a scarlet designer collar with her name engraved in copperplate on a golden tag. She nibbled politely on her imported gourmet dog biscuits and turned her nose up with disgust at the dog next door who wolfed his food in a single gulp.

But ... looks can be deceptive. Tess was no ordinary dog. She was no timid terrier. She was Tess the SuperDog.

Whenever there was someone to be rescued, a crime to be solved or a danger to be overcome, in the blink of an eye Tess the SuperDog would be there to save the day. When people in distress saw the glow of a scarlet collar and the flash of a gold tag, they knew their troubles were over.

Tess the SuperDog had extraordinary powers. She could run like a cheetah, fly like an eagle and leap over buildings with a single bound. From behind the fringe her twinkling eyes with X-ray vision could see through solid brick walls. Those long, floppy ears could hear a footstep in the next suburb. The cute little black nose twitched as the slightest scent wafted on the breeze. She could smell a bad guy a kilometre away. A wag of her tail could knock a criminal off his feet.

Nobody messed with Tess the SuperDog.
