Using participles to describe & classify: Student problems

Students often mix up the present participle (-ing) with the past participle (-ed) when they are used as adjectives:

This is a very bored book.
This is a very boring book.

I felt boring in every lesson.
I felt bored in every lesson.

My home was decorated by balloons. I was very amazing.
My home was decorated by balloons. I was very amazed.
