Dear All,

Hope the first two days of the Summer Institute has gone well.  Eager to have your feedback.

  1. A gentle reminder, the meeting tomorrow will be in RM206, in the same building we have been in the past two days.
  2. The first morning session by Professor Amy Tsui, our former Vice-President in charge of teaching and learning, will present her case of curriculum reform against conventional beliefs.  Professor Catherine Chan, who was instrumental in Hong Kong’s overhauling reform in the school curriculum since 20 years ago, and now Professor of Practice in Education, will moderate the session.  (I have to attend an urgent meeting called by our Vice-Chancellor and will be absent in the first half of the session.
  3. In the second session, we will see Professor Rick Glofcheski, who will describe and explain his approach in teaching Tort Law, his student will also be there to express the student’s point of view.
  4. There will be a change in the first session in the afternoon, Professor Joseph Chan will interact with us with his experience in cultivating entrepreneurship.  Two students will also come to echo his points.
  5. This will be followed by a visit to the Library, which has undergone yet another major reorganization in the past year, reflecting new concepts about the Library.
  6. After the Library visit, please return to RM206 for a newly added item, 5:00-5:30, to interact with a student group, the Pathfinder, led by Ms KAUR, Anumolakjot, their Chairman.  The group works in Cambodia.

Have a good sleep.  See you tomorrow.
