Since we have to link the test results with the background information of the students in order to have a full picture of the factors affecting learning, some school information, teacher information and student information are needed.

To ensure confidentiality, no TIMSS results will be reported for individual students, teachers or schools, and all publications will refer only to aggregated data. Participating schools, teachers and students will have unique IDs, but the data files will not contain the names of the schools, teachers and students. Linkage information will be only known to the research team. The computer files containing the linkage information will be encrypted and password protected.

The printed lists will be kept under lock for five years after the completion of study.

At the completion of the survey, a summary report of the performance of students in your school will be provided for your reference.
