Teaching suggestions

This is a good song for singing together. Divide the class into six groups. Tell each group whether they are spider, bird, cat, dog, goat or cow. Explain that they must sing the first three lines of the verse which starts with their animal and also the line in each verse explaining why their animal was swallowed. The whole class should sing the first and last verses and I don't know why she swallowed the fly. Perhaps she'll die.
