Master Registration

  1. Guide to Online Master Registration

    Online Master Registration will take place during July 17 (Mon) to July 24, 2023 (Mon).

    When you received your HKU Portal login details, you must complete the online Master Registration as soon as possible. This process is very important and crucial for the production of your Student Registration Card, course selection and your application(s) for other study facilities. Please complete the registration procedure in the Student Information System (SIS) by following the instructions stated in the website (https://ase.hku.hk/mr2023/).     Student status will be activated one day after the completion of registration. Should you have any questions or need assistance regarding the SIS, you may call their hotline 3917-0123 or email at ithelp@hku.hk.

  2. Application for Student Registration Card

    The Student Registration Card is the property of the University of Hong Kong and is not transferable. This Card is issued free‑of‑charge to new students on their completion of the registration procedures. It is a student’s personal identification document and should be carried with you at all times for access to University facilities.

    Please note that students MUST complete the online Master’s Registration first before they can submit the photograph and supporting documents for the production of Student Registration Card.   3. Portal and Email Communication
    1. Central IT facilities

      It contains information about HKU Portal UID, PIN, and email address.

    2. HKU Portal login

      HKU Portal is a campus portal that enables convenient and effective communications among University members and is accessible from any network service. The personal login name and password (i.e. UID and PIN) will be emailed to successful applicants individually by mid-July.
      You can log in to HKU Portal via https://hkuportal.hku.hk/.

    4. HKU email account

      HKU email account is automatically created after Online Master Registration. Future announcements and important notices from the Faculty and the University will be emailed to your HKU email account (xxxx@connect.hku.hk).

      You should check your emails regularly, including Junk Box. If you are using another personal email account, you are strongly advised to forward HKU emails to your personal email account.

      You should use your HKU email account for communicating with the Programme Office and teachers, and quote your full name and Student No (printed on your Student Card) in all correspondences.

  4. Survey on background of first year postgraduate students

    All first year postgraduate students are required to complete a questionnaire “Survey on Background of First Year Postgraduate Students 2023-24”.

  5. Research Ethics Declaration Form

    You are required to declare that you have read the information listed on the “Research Ethics Declaration Form”. Please return the signed Declaration Form to the Programme Office either in hardcopy to Room 420 of Meng Wah Complex or in scanned copy to medu@hku.hk.

  6. Personal Information Collection Statement
